| Wake Up in Spain has been developed by
Claire Osterburg who founded her first holiday rental
company in 1995. With her husband Hugues Prud'homme, they
have over 50 years of tourism experience between them.
The company started by renting mobile home holidays in
the Vendee in 1995, then adding villas and holiday villages
in 1999, since when it has offered the widest choice of
villas in coastal Vendee. In 2002, the programme expanded
to other French west coast areas, and now covers the whole
of France with personally vetted luxury villas with private
pools and holiday villages with childrens clubs, swimming
pools, activities and entertainments - all at excellent
value-for-money.
Throughout the years of exceptional growth, the core
values of the business have always been good quality
accommodation and value for money, excellent customer
care and personal service combined with excellent product
knowledge - with many returning clients and recommended
families. Over the last 12 years, some 50 000 clients,
a wide range of holidaymakers, have booked their holiday
accommodation through our informative, widely acclaimed
websites.
Claire who lives in the Vendee area of France, travels
all over France stringently selecting properties and
checking the accommodation standards. Such has been
the success of the operation that accommodation providers
now approach the company rather than the company having
to prospect for new properties. However, we only choose
the properties that we feel will be up to our clients',
high standards. Claire now has personal contacts with
the decision makers of the industry, and we can often
offer access to new developments before they are made
available to mainstream holiday companies.
Gill Cockin has recently joined to head up the team
in Holmfirth, England, and Gill has over 25 years experience
of working in the UK Travel industry. She has held management
positions in Contracting, Marketing and latterly, for
the last 5 years, in General Management. For 16 years
she has been employed by a major PLC.

The Portfolio now comprises around 350 villas and apartments
sleeping 2 - 12 people. These are either independently
located with a private pool or based in holiday villages
with a shared pool, thus appealing to a broad audience,
ranging from families and couples to golf enthusiasts.
